Situated just outside Honiton, Jane Strickland & Daughters is a family business established in 1973 specialising in 19th and early 20th century chairs and sofas, beds, mirrors, and decorative furniture.

A traditional re-upholstery service is offered for customers’ own chairs and sofas with a wide selection of designer fabrics available.

Merchant House Antiques has become a major source for fine-quality 19th-20th-century furniture including dining tables and chairs, decorative chandeliers, mirrors and stylish period statues for all tastes, displayed over an area of 2,500 sq ft on two floors. They also offer a ‘Home View Option’ where customers are encouraged to try pieces in their home before they fully commit. This is a well established business owned by Christian Giltsoff, who has over 25 years experience in the antiques and interiors trade. 
 

Yarrow is spread through two adjacent late Georgian town houses where a dozen showrooms are individually decorated in a number of inspirational styles.

Many rooms are hand painted, some with Trompe l'oeil, others have stylish block-printed walls. To the rear is an extensive garden area with numerous courtyards, terraces, pergolas, follies and a summerhouse.

Unique and one-off items of furniture, statuary and objects of virtue are seemingly everywhere.

A popular antiques centre in Honiton since 1993, housing a number of experienced dealers trading from 11 rooms over three floors. Here you will find beautiful objects and furniture so varied that you should allow time to really explore. Situated at the western end of the Honiton High Street, Bel-Ami offers the visitor a unique shopping experience where a great piece of furniture, a wonderful painting or just a good old-fashioned cup of tea will make you feel welcome and relaxed! Seven rooms are packed full of antiques, objet d’art and interior furnishings including gallery rooms exhibiting the work of artists from Devon and beyond.

In addition an attractive café offers all day light bites, sumptuous cakes, treats and speciality teas, coffees and juices, all locally sourced and often organically produced.

In a restored Georgian property Hybrid have created a relaxed and welcoming space where they exhibit the work of contemporary British artists. The new gallery offers a lofty height for larger canvases whilst the drawing rooms allow work to be seen on a smaller, domestic scale.

Ceramics, textiles and work by craftspeople both functional and decorative are shown on the sills and shelves. Outside in the walled garden the design skills of Hybrid’s designer, Tim are showcased along with sculpture and garden features from individual makers.

Specialists in the restoration of French and English provincial Farmhouse tables, Alexander Paul Antiques has one of the widest selections available in the UK.

Alongside many other antique furniture pieces, each table has been skilfully restored in their own Honiton workshop.

From ash farmhouse refectory tables to French wild cherry farmhouse tables with a draw and extension slide at either end, as well as more unusual items such as a French walnut farmhouse bakers table, Alexander Paul Antiques’ wide and constantly evolving selection will make a beautiful family investment that will reward for many years to come.
